Noise Canceling Headphones

One thing to always remember is that airplane are loud. Be sure to bring either good noise canceling headphones or earplugs with you. You’ll still hear crying babies or chatty neighbors, but at least it’ll cut out a lot of the engine noise.

Most seats on new airplanes have a USB plug so you can charge your phone or tablet. They might not charge too quickly but at least it will keep your device from running low on battery.

An extra battery pack for your phone or tablet is extremely useful if you plan on watching movies throughout your flight. You’ll never worry about running out of power again!

Nothing Smelly

Please do not bring any smelly foods on to the plane with you. Everyone else smells it too and it isn’t pleasant. Also, shower! Arrive on the plane clean and wearing deodorant. Consider everyone else around you, you’re not sitting in your living room.

Travel Pillow

If you’re lucky enough to be given a blanket on the plane then you’ll probably receive it with a flat cotton ball excuse for a pillow. If you don’t want to treat yourself to something expensive, then at least get one of those half-donut pillows you wrap around your neck. You’ll want to be as comfortable as possible.

Eye Mask

This isn’t for everyone, but if you do want to try to get some shut eye on the plane, try wearing an eye mask. It will cut out all the light. That with your noise canceling headphones and you’ll be sure to fall asleep easily.
